For the man who has everything —
— except a watch built specifically for him. A 39–40 mm case is the confident choice: a black or ivory dial on leather for the classicist, a GMT bezel for the traveller who loves someone in another time zone, a 100 m sport piece on a bracelet for the one who’s hard on everything he owns.

Not a “ladies’ watch.” Her watch.
The old rules are gone — she wears whatever suits her. On a slimmer wrist, a 36 mm case in champagne or ivory sits like it was drawn there; on a bolder one, a 39 mm sunburst blue owns the room. Match the dial to the wardrobe she actually wears, not to what watch ads think women want.
The engraving is the real gift.
Choose the solid caseback and we engrave it in the workshop — a date, the coordinates of where you met, their initials beside yours, or simply “From Dad.” Nobody ever sold a watch with their name on the back. That’s the point.
Everything people ask before gifting a watch.
Is a watch a good birthday present for a man or a woman?
It’s one of the very few gifts under $1,000 that is used every day and kept for decades. A watch marks time — which is exactly what a birthday is — and a mechanical watch carries the giver with it: every glance at the wrist is a small reminder of who gave it. Unlike flowers, dinners, or gadgets, it doesn’t get consumed or superseded.
What size watch should I choose as a gift?
For most men, a 39–40 mm case is the safe, confident choice. For slimmer wrists — many women and slighter men — 36 mm sits beautifully. If you can, glance at what they wear now or measure a watch they own. When in doubt, 39 mm is the middle of the road that suits the most people.
Can I engrave a personal message on the watch?
Yes. Choose the solid caseback in the builder and add your engraving — a date, coordinates, initials, or a line only they will understand. The engraving is what turns a beautiful object into an unloseable one.
How are IVERA watches made, and what do they cost?
Every IVERA is assembled to order by a single watchmaker in our Toronto workshop, built around the Seiko NH35 Japanese automatic movement with a sapphire crystal, then regulated by hand before shipping. Every piece — from the collection or custom-designed — is $500, with free shipping.
What if the watch isn’t right for them?
Every watch includes complimentary shipping and a 12-month limited warranty for manufacturing defects in the movement and assembly. All watches are made to order, so we do not accept change-of-mind returns or exchanges, including engraved gifts. Ask us for help with fit before ordering. You can cancel for a full refund before production begins, and your statutory rights remain protected.
